Quand le son crée l’image” school competition – Edition 2025-2026

The Quand le son crée l’image school competition, organized in partnership with the French Ministry of Education, is back for its 8th edition!

To the original “Sorhag” soundtrack, composed by André Manoukian, students in grades 4 to 12 (in mainland France, DROM-COM and French schools abroad) are invited to make a short film lasting1 minute and 48 seconds.

The aim of the competition is to help students explore the multiple relationships between sound and image, while raising awareness of the importance of attentive listening as a trigger for visual creativity.

How to register

Step 1: Register on ADAGE

Teachers register their class and/or a group of students using the form available on the ADAGE platform, accessible from the school’s ENT. Registration on ADAGE is compulsory for schools located in France.

⚠️ French schools abroad, which do not have access to ADAGE, can apply directly by sending in the short film submission form.

Stage 2: Submitting productions

Teachers then send the short film(s), together with the submission form (via the file transfer platform of their choice), to the e-mail address corresponding to their category:
