The Semaine du Son.Oor in Belgium organizes various activities around sound and sound awareness. A wide-ranging program of workshops, lectures, sound walks, encounters, concerts, performances, listening sessions and screenings highlights different aspects of sound and sound practices, and raises related social issues. All events are open to the general public and free of charge.
The festival offers artists a “laboratory” space in which to explore new avenues or new formations. It enables artists to meet new audiences, and offers them an opportunity to present their creations in an unusual setting, outside conventional circuits. These “sound laboratories” enable everyone to discover different aspects of sound in an accessible way. They offer the opportunity to meet new people, to enter into dialogue freely and to become aware of the importance of listening and the quality of the sound environment.
The 16th edition of La Semaine du Son.Oor will take place from January 26 to February 1 in Brussels, and from February 2 to 8, 2026 in Flanders and Wallonia.
